Ministries

Etelvina Doughty
This essential ministry prepares the altar according to the liturgical calendar. Duties include changing the altar cloth and candles, cleaning the candlesticks, and caring for the plants/ arrangements on the altar.

Linda Lockyer
The Lector serves to rouse the faith of the assembly and inspire them to discipleship by proclaiming the Word of God with clarity and conviction during the Mass and other liturgical celebrations throughout the Church year. Duties also include prayer petitions of the faithful and announcements dealing with parish life.

Phoebe Seals
The sacristans are responsible for preparing the chalice, ciborium, cruets, purificator and corporal used at the celebration of the Mass. After Mass they clean and store everything used.

Jack Sutton
The ushers take up the collections at Mass and select a family to present the gifts and offertory to the priest.

Stan Lovendoski
The Music Ministry seeks to encourage and inspire the sung prayer of our faith community when it gathers for worship and to enhance and elevate our spiritual life by giving voice to the beauty of the liturgy of the Mass and other liturgical celebrations. It is never a performance, but a true expression of adoration and reverence.

Linda Lockyer
The Liturgy Committee assists our Pastor with planning, implementing, and evaluating the liturgies of the Mass and other celebrations while focusing on a prayerful and inspiring experience for all who worship with us. Members representing different ministries come together to enhance our liturgical celebrations while deepening our faith and spirituality.

Women’s Club meets monthly after Sunday Mass. These women work to encourage fellowship among church members. The club hosts monthly coffee hours after Sunday Mass, organizes special meals, sponsors the Care & Share food pantry, and holds fundraising events to support church projects. All women of the parish are invited to join.

Beth Lett
This group provides religious instruction for the youth of our church.

Rosa Kler
The Legion of Mary is a lay organization at the service of the Church, under ecclesiastical guidance. Its twofold purpose is the spiritual development of its members and advancing the reign of Christ through Mary. The group meets weekly and has active and auxiliary (praying) members. Chairman Tom Julian
This committee is responsible for maintenance of the buildings and the grounds on church property.

Mary Frances McMillan
This group of volunteer teams rotate throughout the year and have taken on the responsibility of cleaning the entire church building and adjacent rooms. Their dedication ensures us of a clean place of worship.

The counters are responsible for conducting an accurate count of the monetary gifts to the parish. It usually takes about an hour.
